School is a re-imagining of the traditional Vermont one-room schoolhouse, with its slate headboard (chalk provided) above the king bed, a period school desk, a portrait of George Washington and a vintage, illuminated globe. Muralled walls depict winter, summer, and a library coming alive with fairy tale figures. The luxurious bathroom has a jetted tub, a separate shower, and a soapstone laboratory table from Norwich University for a vanity. School is a playful, charming guestroom – and yes, falling asleep in this class is encouraged.
