The Wine Cellar is a stone-walled sanctuary set between Tracks and the kitchen, a realm of romance and privacy that may be reserved for a very special prix-fixe dinner. Floor-to-ceiling wood racks hold a vast, award-winning trove of wines, candles flicker on the stone walls; a wood ceiling arches overhead like the burnished hull of a boat. A single dining table stands below a hand-painted mural of Ariadne, the bride of Dionysus, god of wine. The chef may prepare a special tasting menu for Wine Cellar diners, or guests may choose à la carte from that night’s dinner menu.
Larger gatherings of up to 30 guests may reserve the Brook Room for a private affair—an airy, elegant space overlooking the stream to one side, Main Street on the other. A robust, rough-hewn slate fireplace anchors the room, large windows frame the woods and gardens beyond.
