Chester Arthur (Accessible)
Chester Arthur was a Vermonter and our 21st President. This room is a romantic mix of Victorian and neoclassical – the look Chester chose when he redecorated the White House. Rose velvet drapes frame the porch and the balcony overlooking Main Street (an especially popular choice for Warren’s world-famous Independence Day parade.) The bathroom is lavish (and handicap-accessible), with a steam shower, good for unwinding after a day of outdoor adventures in the Mad River Valley. And a cozy wood stove completes the romantic picture.
Chester Arthur is especially comfortable for guests with physical limitations, or sight or hearing impairments. It offers extra-wide doorways, a roll-in shower with grab bars, a toilet with grab bars, and a hearing- and sight-impaired-friendly smoke detector.
