Our Approach to Event Coordination: More Than a Venue, A Hands-On Partnership

At many venues, coordination means opening doors and pointing out parking. At The Pitcher Inn, we combine the high-touch execution of a luxury boutique hotel with the warmth of an intimate country inn. Whether you’re hosting a milestone anniversary dinner, a corporate retreat, a holiday party, or a multi-day private celebration, every gathering is treated with white-glove care from day one.

What Is Included at Baseline:

    • In-House Culinary & Beverage Execution: Our culinary team, food and beverage manager, and wine specialist custom-tailor your menu-from multi-course plated dinners to family-style feasts – entirely in-house.
    • Full Vendor & Load-In Management: For events utilizing outside vendors (such as florists, photographers, or entertainment), we coordinate arrival times, loading schedules, and power needs.
    • Timeline Creation & Logistics: For multi-layered celebrations and retreats, we provide a timeline template and guide you through a collaborative questionnaire to gather your key vendor and schedule details, weaving them into a polished schedule. (For smaller, intimate dinners and gatherings, we keep logistics streamlined and effortless).
    • Floor Plans & Seating Formatting: We provide detailed floor plans. Once you supply your draft arrangements and meal choices, we organize and format the final seating chart and dietary logs so our kitchen and service staff have everything needed for a flawless meal service.
    • Day-Of Presence & On-Site Support: Our event manager is right there with you throughout your gathering to check in whenever you need support. We make sure everything is getting set up just as you envisioned by acting as your on-site advocate-taking the details you share about your vision for your florist, photographer, and other vendors, and ensuring on your behalf that they deliver exactly what you asked for.

An Unforgettable Dining Experience at The Pitcher Inn

My wife, son, and I recently dined at The Pitcher Inn in Warren, Vermont, and it was truly an exceptional experience. Nestled in the heart of this picturesque village, The Pitcher Inn is a beautifully restored white-clapboard gem with a rich history dating back to the late 1800s. The inn’s colonial, Victorian, and contemporary design elements create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Dining here was a culinary delight. We chose the fine dining restaurant (there’s also a casual pub, Tracks, for more relaxed dining). The newly introduced prix fixe menu offers either a three-course ($75) or four-course ($90) tasting experience. We opted for the three-course menu, which exceeded all expectations.

The meal began with an amuse-bouche of chilled octopus with finger limes—perfectly tender with a delicate, briny flavor. Their bread service featured three varieties (light rye, focaccia, and cheese sable), accompanied by delicious dips and spreads. For appetizers, my son raved about the duck confit spring roll. The rich duck was countered with a perfectly crisp egg roll skin, and the sweetness found in the dipping sauce contrasted with the saltiness of the confit. My wife enjoyed a charcuterie and cheese plate, while I chose the carpaccio of beef, topped with a sunny-side-up quail egg and delicate slices of black truffle.

The main courses were equally impressive. The short rib beef agnolotti were flavorful and expertly prepared, and my wife’s halibut was a standout—perfectly cooked, moist, and seasoned to perfection. As a former chef, I can say Chef Jacob Ennis’s "less-is-more" philosophy truly lets the quality of the ingredients shine, showcasing remarkable skill.

Dessert included a pumpkin cheesecake (snapped up by my son before I could taste it!) and a pear and chocolate cake. While the pear mousse could have used a touch more flavor and a little less gelatin, the overall composition was delightful. Mignardises—a crunchy chocolate bite and a pâte de fruit—added the perfect sweet finish.

A special shoutout goes to the staff, whose professionalism and attention to detail elevated the experience. A super special shout out to our sommelier. This has to be the first time in North America that I have had a wine steward recommend decanting a wine necessary to open its bouquet and bring out all of its virtues. Normally we must fight with the wait staff to open a bottle early and allow it to come to life. The wine list is extensive, with several well-priced gems from around the world. As a lover of older vintages, it was easy to find several great choices to indulge in.

While the meal was nearly flawless, I did note some small quirks—such as the bread plates and knives being set despite bread not being included in the prix fixe menu. Most people probably would not pay attention to that, but it seemed odd and out of place for a property with such a high level of attention to detail.

Overall, Chef Ennis and his team have raised the bar for fine dining in Vermont, outshining nearby landmarks like Hen of the Woods and The Tillerman. Though we didn’t stay at the inn, I would highly recommend it for anyone seeking a luxurious and welcoming getaway. Brooks Bradbury, the general manager, and his team ensure every guest feels genuinely cared for.

The Pitcher Inn is perfectly situated across from the iconic Warren Store and minutes from Sugarbush and Mad River Glen, making it an ideal base for exploring Vermont’s natural beauty. We’ll definitely be returning soon!

Please understand 4 stars from me is a very favorable review. This place was GREAT! The rooms are, apparently, very idiosyncratically decorated…ours looked like a back country lodge and I understand others are all equally fun. The room was very large, with a nice sitting area, desk area and separate sleeping area and a huge, nicely appointed bathroom.

The food was amazing. These people are evil! They leave out fresh baked pasties for those of us who can’t last until the delicious breakfast. The scones! The muffins! And no one keeping count of my gluttony! Need I say more?

Beautiful Inn located in Warren. We usually visit once or twice a year, usually during ski season. Always for dinner, never used the lodging.

This year we came during Autumn for fall foliage. The restaurant was closed so we ate in Tracks, the lounge.

Tracks is accessed by a simple door off the lobby of the Inn. Down a staircase and through a cave like stone passage. Very unique.

The bar and lounge open to a garden area. We sat in the leather sofa by the fireplace. Very cozy and charming.

We enjoyed cocktails and dinner in the sofa seating. Started with Caesar Salad, the Corn Chowder Soup, followed by a Roll.

All the plates were good, but the Chowder was the highlight.

Highly recommend. This is one of the few higher style and intimate experiences in the area.

Unfortunately they closed the pool table and game area. A disappointment as we used to end our night having drinks and playing shuffle board.

Visited again this year and we were able to eat in the restaurant. It was excellent! Highly recommend. Every aspect of the meal was spot on.

My husband and I had a lovely 2-night stay at The Pitcher Inn in
late May 2024. Our room was spacious and beautifully furnished with antiques. The staff, especially Sharon, was very helpful suggesting places to see around the area. The main dining room was not open the Monday and Tuesday we were there. Dinner in the Tavern and our breakfasts were both very good. We especially enjoyed seeing the Shelburne Museum - it is worth the drive. The location is charming although a bit isolated. A dinner one night at the new restaurant Crag and Roe in nearby Waitesfield was excellent. A relaxing charming place to stay in Vermont.

Had an amazing stay at the Pitcher Inn over MLK weekend. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable prior to and during our stay. Fresh croissants every morning were top notch.
We didn’t get a chance to eat in their more casual pub restaurant “Tracks” and that is our only regret! Hope to make it back one day.
