Sugarbush Soaring
The motor-free flight of a glider is something to behold—and to experience firsthand! Sugarbush Soaring gives you that opportunity, whether you’re looking to get behind the wheel or simply soak up the bird’s-eye views. The sailplane fleet includes some fantastically elegant gliding machines, from the ASK-21 to the Grob 102.
The setting of Sugarbush Airport in the Mad River Valley gives gliders a variety of topnotch lift patterns, including the legendary Sugarbush Mountain Wave: a topography-induced standing airstream ideal for gliding. We’re approaching peak season for that coveted mountain wave, most prevalent from late September through October.
From introductory sessions to advanced training programs, Sugarbush Soaring provides glider instruction seven days a week. Here’s your chance to learn from FAA-certified instructors in the fine art of sailplane gliding!
